I am RipperDoc. A RipperDoc is a term from the cyberpunk genre. Basically, ripperdocs are illegal “doctors” that make a living of stealing the cybernetic implants of dead, almost-dead or not-at-all-dead bodies. They could also operate without asking any questions in their filthy clinics. In the cyberpunk worlds, the ripperdocs are detested by most people. This, of course, has not much to do with me, other than my fascination for the cyberpunk genre. However, this is the quite uniqe pseudonym I’m hiding behing.

Nowadays you have to write witty and unique presentations on each community you even look at. This constant duty of reducing yourself into a bunch of clichés and paragraphs is mentally exhausting, so here I will give a record short presentation and give futher directions to the plethora of communities which I have forced myself to take part in.

I am a product of the early eighties and a family of academics. I am myself pursuing the equivalent a Master of Information Engineering and Bachelor of History, based at Chalmers University of Technology and Gothenburg University. Usually I live and study in Gothenburg, Sweden but from August 2005 to the summer 2006 I will instead take part in the greatest challenge of my life (not counting being in love) – I will live and study in Hong Kong, at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Contrary to popular belief, I don’t really enjoy studying. Instead, I fill my life with my first and foremost obsession – creating. I write and manipulate images (and dream of making music, movies and art). Mainly I write; articles for magazines, role-playing games, fictional material, short stories or blog/forum posts. When my well of inspiration only returns dusty handfuls I instead turn to consuming creativity in the form of music, movies and literature. I’m a true omnivore in this matter – I can enjoy everything from brain-dead action movies to cryptical Lynch-esque productions, or rap to house and hard rock via classical music.

My personality suprisingly well summarized by this test. If you want to know who I really am, I suggest you take a look there…
